Hello,
I am currently using serveral self-hosting services, which I was able to proxy on a handful of subfolders.
The setup for those selected applications, including the nginx stuff was fairly easy, since their settings all featured configurations for a base url.
But not all the dockers I am running have that feature.
How can I setup an application that runs on the url like "http://localhost:8080/app/user/settings",
to proxy to something like this "https://epicdomain.com/service1/app/user/settings"
I've tried proxy_pass and proxy_redirect, but since I am a total noob in this stuff, neither images nor anything else, except for the index.html, proxied successfully.
While fighting this for a few weeks now, I tend to stumble upon the solution to just replace /app/user/settings with /service1/ but that obviously does not work, since the docker containter in question hosts more than just a settings page.
I'd really appreciate if anyone could help me with this :)
