Nginx behaves strange :?
October 23, 2010 12:51PM
Hey guys, i have installed nginx 0.8.43 on my debian lenny webserver, but sometimes it behaves quite strange. This server is in my bedroom. I have another pc next to that. The server gets internet from my ISP and my pc get internet via the server (2 lan cards + crossover cable trick). Sometimes totally unexpected when i try to open my site, it loads forever and gives a timeout error, but anyone else can open it without problems. I found out that the timeout is happening only when i access the server from my domain, when i try the ip address it loads perfectly !?!? What seems to be the problem. I can also connect to the server via ssh and ftp druring the timeout problem.
Does anyone have an idea ? Thanks in advance.

Seems you have some trouble with your DNS.

Flush the DNS cache on your client side and verify your DNS settings on your client.
