I cannot really explain how everything happened but I will try my best:
I have had an nginx server up for over a year now with no problems, multiple sites, etc. Today I went to add a new site and I do what I always do but when I went to restart the server it wouldn't restart because it couldn't access the "access.log" files for one of my sites (which was weird because it singled out 1 site? idk I am pretty novice). Anyway while I was focusing on trying to fix that (for some reason it was pointing to /home/username/public_html/site but my site is located in /home/public_html/site which is a different story I guess) I did some stupid things like chown-ing every file to my username (which it came back most of it was denied) and then chown-ing every file (back?) to root and some other things has made it so I cannot log onto my server through SSH or SFTP. The only was is if I log on locally through this "Linode Shell".
I have been searched google for hours and I really do not know what to do :(. The only error that has happened today is:
[alert] 2628#0: worker process 2632 exited on signal 9
but I don't think that's it. But then again idk.
Any help at all is greatly appreciated!
