What is best practice for the HttpGeoIPModule? To my understanding it can only be configured in the http block, not in server or location.

I have several servers (as in server block) configured, one is optimized to serve small static files, another one is using php-fpm, etc. However, if the GeoIP may only be globally enabled, that means it will do a geo lookup for every request even on the static domain which feels bad for performance.

How much is the performance penalty?

Is there a way to only enable GeoIP lookup in a specific server block?
