I also had similar problems that once in a while that php-fpm is not responsive. When using top command, you can't see php-cgi anymore.

The memory leak problem is also severe. Initially it only consumes 10m, then gradually increased to 50M (my EA shmax
is set to be 64).

The problem comes back again, the php-cgi process would be swaped out for some reasons.
