nginx cannot resolve specific host

Hi

I have a weird problem with nginx. a specific host will not be resolved by nginx.

[error] 9934#0: *22920 fsdndm.fileserve.com could not be resolved (3: Host not found)

the system has no problem resolving this host and nginx can resolve every other host.
(eg. ping fsdndm.fileserve.com works ). I have tried everything but nginx can't just resolve this one host.
