i am using ubutu 10.4 Lucid and running nginx 0.8.54. I tried patching nginx with the patch link you mentioned above but it doesn't work. I have tried all the patches mentioned in http://wiki.nginx.org/Nginx3rdPartyModules but none seem to work. I am trying to use syslog-ng to centralize all the nginx logs to one server.

After patching, during make i get this

and then after a nginx start, the file error.log shows up but access.log is no where to be seen. The error.log doesn't update at all, so basically the logging doesn't happen at all.

Any ideas? Any pointers is appreciated.
